"Depression is a state of low mood and aversion to activity that can affect a person's thoughts, behavior, feelings and sense of well-being. Depressed people may feel sad, anxious, empty, hopeless, worried, helpless, worthless, guilty, irritable, hurt, or restless. They may lose interest in activities that once were pleasurable, experience loss of appetite or overeating, have problems concentrating, remembering details, or making decisions, and may contemplate or attempt suicide. Insomnia, excessive sleeping, fatigue, loss of energy, or aches, pains, or digestive problems that are resistant to treatment may also be present. "

"A depressed mood may not require any professional treatment. A prolonged depressed mood, especially in combination with other symptoms, may lead to a diagnosis of a psychiatric or medical condition by a counselor or doctor, which may benefit from treatment."

I’ve been going through that stage since I was 13 and I’m 22 now so I’ve been through a lot and it’s been very difficult, especially when you don’t have those foundations you need to support you psychologically and physically from an early age. I’ve become almost numb to it all and learned to just go along with it b/c that’s life.. But it feels good to ‘vent’ b/c it helps tear down this giant mental wall I have standing in my way so thank you and I’ll definitely keep being strong, I have to be..
